The simple reason I make art is because it's super enjoyable for me. Well, also because I have always been a creative person ever since I was really young. 

 

My artistic background was basic–art sets as birthday presents and a dabble in art classes–until I reached middle school, where I took my first art elective and joined the school's Journalism/Yearbook class. 

 

This began my journey into more advanced art in high school: Graphic Design 1 and 2, Advanced Studio, and in my senior year, AP Studio with a 2-D emphasis. I applied for and held a leadership role as an Editor in Yearbook. I was in charge of Senior Ads, including payment tracking, as well as general yearbook editorial management, including checking content before publishing and delegating pages for yearbook staff.

Some of my favorite memories come from these experiences; the collaboration from critiques, the breakthroughs in each piece, and yes, even the frantic edits to meet publishing deadlines.

My current style leans towards flat vector shapes, but I am branching out as I am exposed to more styles in my classes! Saul Bass is one of my inspirations: to be a designer that designs with thematic intention, not just visual beauty.
